"The transition from military life back to the civilian world
Dominique Christian - Army veteran and graduate of the Odyssey Program and UW-Madison
is a lot more difficult than most people realize. As an alum
of the Odyssey program, I can attest that Odyssey is
life-changing in so many different ways."

Odyssey Beyond Wars serves veterans who might be challenged by their transition from military to civilian life, are looking for an engaged community of peers, and would like a jump start in furthering their education. We are part of the UW Odyssey Project, which for more than two decades has empowered students facing significant challenges to higher education to overcome those obstacles, find their voices, and reframe their futures.
All military veterans -- regardless of time in service, deployment history, disability status, or discharge status -- are encouraged to apply.
Graduates earn six transferable college credits at no cost and without using any VA benefits.
Our programs provide wraparound support that helps students succeed long-term, including tutoring, academic and financial aid advising, continued for-credit alumni course offerings, and an alumni support network.
