Transforming lives in a pandemic — and double the impact of your support

Despite unimaginable hardship, students in all four parts of our program — Odyssey, Odyssey Junior, Onward Odyssey and Odyssey Beyond Bars — have triumphed this semester as they learned with us online.

Adults in the Class of 2021 brought to life Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, penned letters in the style of Frederick Douglass and imagined Ebenezer Scrooge as a modern‑day landlord. Children ranging in age from a few months to 17 years have connected online through dance, writing, art, music and book discussions. Alumni have met to work more intensively on their writing. Men at Oakhill Correctional Institution have found their voices and envision a new future beyond bars: “This class is only a taste of what’s to come as I am beyond excited to enroll in college someday in the future.”

We celebrate our students’ successes but recognize the continued challenges they face. Odyssey families are out of work, battling COVID‑19 themselves or with loved ones, struggling to keep food on their tables, clothes on their children, medicine in their bodies, minutes on their phones and gas in their cars.

DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT! Your gift today will help provide our students with the wraparound support and emergency services they need to help them stay focused on their studies during these unprecedented times. You will double your impact from now until December 31 thanks to a generous group of supporters including Odyssey staff and board members who have pledged to match all gifts totaling up to $25,000. Will you make a gift now and double the impact of your support to the Odyssey Project? Thank you!
